Robin Redbreast

Two wqeeks ago this Robin started to build a nest, so after talking to her for a while and watching I decided to take pictures. Here she is in a tree watching as I mow the lawn near her nest.
The nest nearly complete in the spindleiest tree in our back yard.

I watched the and yesterday morning there was one egg and by night fall two. I went to her nest today and talked to her and I was just a hand away. This is so fun to have a nest in the backyard to watch. Happy Spring!!!!

Isn't she pretty

Here she is, I talk to her and I think that is why I was able to get so so close and take a picture or two!

This is the tree, very spindley.

Happy Birthday Quilt

I have been in a slump, when it comes to quilting lately. Then the pressure has been on, with Allen's birthday, Claire( I am late) Logan & Robin. So one day I just said get with girl. So here is Allen's and I am finished with Logan's and I am working on Claire's and Robin's. After I don't know how many quilts, I decided to machine stitch the message.

Thank-you

I would like to thank all of you for making my birthday a special day. From Easter dinner to lunch with Skyler and his kids to a day with Micah and family and for all the phone calls, you really made my day. I love you all. Sandy

Electric EEl

I think this part of the aqaurium was the funniest.
Robin touch the buttons to see how much she would get shocked and I got this pic of her jumping back.
I touched the voltage a few times and kept wanting to try again. But Logan was the funniest, he kept going back for more. I still laugh when I see these pictures.

Deer and Forest

I was coming home from town at dusk Friday night and these deer were down the street in the lot next to the church. What you don't see is about 10 more deer. The next night they were across the street. A big herd.

This is our redwood burrel we brought back from Calif. you see the real tiny brach that is what size the whole thing was when we brought it home. It has really grown.

Easter Afternoon

A Beautiful Easter Sunday.
I asked one of my co workers if he had a nice Easter. His response was very different than what I was expecting to hear. He said, No I hate Easter I hate everything about it. This shocked me and made me think. I guess in someways I feel the same, like any holiday it has become to commercialized. I am grateful for Easter, for it really reminds me of all my Savior has done for me. Reminds me of families and love we share and the ability we have to be all together now and in the next life. The Resurrection and Atonement, oh how lucky we are.
When all was said and done, it was the commercialism of Easter that he hates.
Sunday afternoon after dinner everyone went in different directions. Some of us played scrabble, paca, ellie & robin played Yahtzee. Some were in the backyard, namely Claire and Logan.( altho Logan told me his other girlfriend was missing, when I asked who, he said Reagan)Sharon & Brooke visited. Everybody had a good day.
